I determine the authenticity of documents in suspected forgery or fraud cases.  My clients include attorneys, individuals and corporations.

 MY INITIAL CONSULTATION IS FREE!

Although I'm located in Austin, Texas, I can work on a case anywhere in the world.  In fact, I've recently completed a historical case comparing letters written in French in the 1600's from the Jesuit College Archives in Rome with English letters from the British Archives that were all scanned and emailed.  Original documents are ideal, but many examinations can be conducted from scans, copies, pictures or faxes.  It doesn't matter if you are questioning a check, will, contract, letter or even graffiti on a wall.

As a Certified Public Accountant, I've been a controller for over 20 years.  I have hands-on experience and insight in numerous industries that include Public Accounting, hospital/medical records administration, retail, oil and gas, commercial real estate, property management and construction.  I supervised  accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll. Accounting functions included general ledger journal entries and analysis, collections,  human resources, tax returns, banking, and financial statement preparation.  I administered all company insurance policies that included employee health, workers' comp, general liability, property, equipment and vehicles.  I prepared bankruptcy filings, mechanic's liens, and notes.  I reviewed and obtained signatures on contracts, lease agreements and partnership agreements, and vehicle title transfers.

I exemplify a CPA's professionalism, attention to detail and adherence to the Code of Ethics. My focus as an accountant has been on accuracy and the implementation of internal controls to prevent fraud.

Forensic Document Examination is not taught in standard universities.  A two year apprenticeship under a Certified Questioned Document Examiner is required to gain the expertise, techniques and knowledge for this discipline.  Recommended course study also includes biology and chemistry.  I'm uniquely qualified since I was a senior in Marine Biology before I became an accountant, combining a science foundation with business acumen.  I received my specialized training under several instructors over a three year period.

Document examination training is ongoing, as I continue to research and learn from each new, unique case.  It's quite fascinating, and I'm always looking forward to solving my next mystery.  I would love the opportunity to work with you.  Just click on the "Contact" button for my email address and fax number, or give me a call at (512) 964-8992.
